Aimee Akimoff graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University in European Studies, Russian, and Business Administration. Prior to her graduation in 2003, Aimee studied in St. Petersburg on the Russian Language and Area Studies program during the summer of 2002. She now works as an Admissions Counselor for the M.B.A. program at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.

Megan Merrill - Advocate, Chicago, IL

After completing her fall 2001 Advanced Russian Language & Area Studies semester program in Moscow, Megan Merrill continued her work in the Slavic field. Megan has worked as a journalist for the Moscow Times and served as a freelance translator for companies and organizations in the business and entertainment sectors. Megan has since returned to the Chicago area as an advocate for elderly Russian immigrants at a social services agency. She is a 2002 graduate of Northwestern University with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Journalism.

Sarah Graham recently completed her Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Russian Studies from the University of Delaware. At the start of the 2006-2007 academic year, Sarah traveled to Moscow, Russia with two fellow American Councils program alumni to work as an English teacher (EFL) for Language Link in Moscow. Sarah is an alumna of the Spring 2005 program in St. Petersburg.
